Oui, voici le deuxième chat, qui semble un peu inquiet avec cette abeille...

First cat !

This project is actually 4 little ones. So I already finished one, the cheakiest cat as its hiding in the cup upside down !

I really love the look of the drawing...

Cette broderie est en réalité 4 en 1, du coup, j'ai déjà fini un des chats, le plus coquin vu qu'il se cache dans la tasse !!!

Lavender's blue is finished !!!

It seems incredible, but yes, I have a stitching finish ! After a terrible Thursday, where I had such a sinus ache I could eat, sleep or anything, I was glad to be rid of it by the evening. And Friday my head felt to light, I did the house work, and lots of stitching.

And now, I wanted to stitch a bit of Margaret Sherry, cute animals, so I took these cats, thinking of DBF and his passion for coffee mugs and coffee.

My hand is ok for the moment, but I don't try anything too strainous...

Jeudi j'ai eu le pire mal de tête de ma vie, enfin, les sinus, et je ne pouvais plus même manger ou dormir, l'horreur ! Heureusement ça a stoppé dans la soirée, et on sent alors sa tête légère...

Hier donc j'étais pleine de courage pour le ménage et tout ça, et donc j'ai beaucoup brodé. J'étais motivée car je ne voulais pas commencer un nouvel ouvrage sans finir ce petit tableau, car j'ai envie de broder des animaux rigolos de Margaret Sherry. Et mon choix s'est arrêté sur ces chats dans des tasses à café, en honneur de DBF qui est fan de tasses (il en achète encore et encore) et de café.

Ma main va mieux, mais je n'ai pas trop poussé non plus, donc ceci explique cela :)

Easter will be soon enough... Well... I had to finish this yellow doily with baby chicks on it !!! Surprisingly, if my right hand hurt with big hooks; but now with fine ones, so I can still make doilies, youhou !!!

Of course, I have to rest my hand, but as I also have a big cold, or at least a virus my body is fighting against, crafting is a bit slow.

Linda K, you made me laugh, of course the word "green" isn't finished, the picture is a wip, and I don't do any planning on when I stop, so if it's in the middle of a word, so be it !

Avec l'approche de Paques, voici un napperon jaune avec des poussins, pile pour la saison !!! J'ai découvert que si les gros crochets sont pénibles à ma main, les pfins crochets sont oks, donc je peux encore faire des napperons, youhou !!!

Avec la main douloureuse, et maintenant avec un gros rhume (en tout cas, mon corps se bat contre un gros virus !), je ne bricole pas autant que je le pourrais !

Can you believe this? I started this LHN project during my blog slump, and so I have no previous post or picture about its progress !!! And now I'm nearly starting the last bit: the border !!!

I have to admit I feared all the text and now it's done, I think it was piece of cake ;)

I did loads of crochet lately, and on Monday I might have been over the top, so now my right wrist and tumb hurt. And you know what that means... yeah, no more crochet, no more crafting, etc... Well, I stitch with my left hand, so it's ok, and I taught myself to crochet with the left as well. Not to mention that I have to use the computer mouse with my left hand as well... I'm so glad I'm ambidextrous !!!

Crochetting with the left hand isn't much different than crochetting with the right, but I'm slow, I have to practice, for the moment it's ok for yarn and big stuff that don't ask for much tension, but I hope to get better soon ;)

Anyway, I want to finish this project soon, it's been a wip long enough !!!

J'ai eu beau chercher, je n'ai pas trouvé de photos et de posts sur ce projet dans mes archives. Et maintenant il est plus proche de la fin que du début !!! J'ai du travailler dessus pendant la période où je ne bloggais plus, en octobre décembre... Oh, ben le voilà de toute façon !!!

Je craignais tout le texte, et j'ai failli ne pas le faire, et puis j'ai pris mon courage à deux mains, et finalement... ce n'était pas si difficile. Il ne reste quasiment plus que la bordure.

J'ai fait beaucoup de crochet ces derniers temps, peut être un peu trop, vu que je me retrouve avec une douleur au poignet et au pouce droit. Et on sait ce que cela signifie : au moins du repos !!! Mais c'est embêtant, car on ne peut plus rien faire, ou alors...

Profitant que je suis ambidextre, la souris de l'ordi est passée à gauche. L'aiguille est déjà dans la main gauche, serait-ce un message pour que je me remette à la broderie? Bon, j'apprends à crocheter avec la main gauche. Je suis encore un peu mal habile, mais pour les granny squares, ça passe.

Toujours est-il que j'aimerais finir ce projet rapidement, il a tellement trainé déjà !!!

A day in Creativa Bruxelles

Yesterday I went to the Creativa Expo in Brussels. It's a show about crafts, mostly stitching, scrapbooking, beads and patchwork. We arrived early, so we were amongst the lucky ones who got the lovely Creativa shopping bag. On the pictures, the room seems empty, but it only shows how early we were, as the place got quickly full of people.

I was able to see Nimue, Craft Corner and Madame la fée in the flesh, many people were showing their crafts, so the atmosphere was relaxed. And, believe it or not, all I got was "Traveling stitcher" from LHN with the special threads !!!

Hier j'ai été à Creativa à Bruxelles. C'est une expo de crafts, surtout de la broderie, du patchwork, des perles et du scrapbooking. On est arrivées très tôt, du coup on a eu le fameux sac de courses "Creativa. Et d'ailleurs, sur les photos ça a l'ai un peu vide, car on était vraiment tôt !!!

Too many things on the go !

I realised that with all the CALs, ideas, etc... I'm loosing focus, and I have too many wips !

- CAL granny square bag : you can see some of the squares here. 10 done, 38 to go. Or less, depending on the size I want.

- CAL Amigurumi chicken in an egg. I need 10 birds, I only have 5 not even finished.

- CAL flower doily : need 8 more flowers.

- CAL demoiselles : I'm actually on time on that one

- Easter yellow doily : will it be finished for Easter?

Not to mention my two lovely stitchings, and another mini one I started. I think I will concentrate on all that and not start anything... Hum, I wonder if I will keep that idea true, when I'm going to Creativa Bruxelles tomorrow with Mom...

Hier j'ai réalisé qu'avec tous les CAls et autres idées, j'ai perdu la notion de focus, et je me retrouve avec plein de choses en cours:

- CAL sac en granny squares : 10 de faits, 38 encore à faire, ou moins selon la taille que ça va donner.

- CAL Amigurumi poussins dans l'oeuf. Il me faut 10 poussins, et je n'en ai que 5, même pas finis.

- CAL napperon fleurs : il me faut encore 8 fleurs.

- CAL demoiselles : en fait je suis à l'heure pour celui-là.

- Napperon jaune de Paques : sera-t-il fini pour Paques?

Sans compter la broderie, avec mes deux points de croix et un petit nouveau. Je vais essayer de me concentrer sur ces projets, quoique comme je vais demain à Creativa Bruxelles, tout peut arriver !!!

Stitching? really? Mini hen

I know it's crochet month, and I think I've done my share of crochetting already, so here is a bit of stitching.

I was surfing the web, and I found that idea to make mini cushions/keyring things. The creature was super cute, and I love the idea of turning stitching into a small object. And it is small : about 3cm !!!

It was great to use the needle again, until I had to sew the 2 parts together. My initial idea was to backstitch all around, and sew like biscornus or mini matresses. And of course the sewing became hell, especially around the tail.

Well, I love the result, but if you have experience of that sort of thing, please give me advices !

Anyway, this hen is so cute I'm going to make other critters soon...

Je sais que c'est le mois du crochet, mais j'ai déjà fait ma part je pense, et j'ai encore d'autres trucs à faire. Mais je suis tombée sur des mini coussins / pendouillettes et j'ai voulu aussi essayer. et c'est vraiment mini, car ma poupoule ne mesure que 3cm !!!

J'ai adoré reprendre mon aiguille, jusqu'à ce que je doive coudre les deux parties ensemble. mon idée initiale était de coudre comme les biscornus, mais arrivée surtout au niveau de la queue, c'est devenu l'enfer.

Enfin, j'adore le finish, mais si quelqu'un a des conseils pour faire ça plus simple, je suis preneuse!!!

Another Hello Kitty amigurumi

Who is a big Hello Kitty fan? yes.... I have to admit this one looks more like the original than the first one, so I'm happy !

Annie, you made me laugh with your role reversal remark. It's exactly that, except my grandma never crocheted. She's a seamstress, but sewing is the only thread craft she does.

Annie a fait une belle remarque sur le fait que ma grand mère à l'ordi et moi au crochet, c'est une inversion des rôles, et c'est à peu près vrai, sauf que ma grand mère est couturière, et n'est pas trop pour les bricolages du fil.

CAL demoiselles début et débuts de grand mère

This is part one of this crochet along on GigiS blog. It took me only a day to make, because it's so small. But also I had time to work on it at grandma's.

I've been talking about my grandma lately, so here is the full story. Until recently, she was a bit anti-technological. But she's now 84, and she's going to computer classes with friends, and so Mom gave her her old laptop so she could play with it.

Little did she know that grandma would really enjoy it, and get the internet installed at home ! And guess who is involved in all the installation and computer tutoring? Yes, little me.

Of course, as soon as we installed the internet on the old laptop, it began lagging terribly, so mom and dad got her a new laptop. And who had to set it up and give it to grandma, with explanations? yes, little me.

So since yesterday, grandma has a fancier laptop than mine ;) At least she has the right tool to learn properly, and Win 7 is so much easier than XP !!!

Anyway, I left her write her first emails and crocheted near her... so the doily was nearly done by the time she was finished !

Ceci n'est pas un napperon fini, mais la première partie du CAL demoiselles sur le blog de GigiS. Cela ne m'a pris qu'un jour, car je l'ai fait pendant que ma grand mère faisait ses premiers emails.

Je parle souvent de ma grand mère et de ses débuts sur internet... à 84 ans. Voici toute l'histoire. Au départ, elle a été au cours d'informatique avec ses copines, et ma mère lui a donné son vieil ordi pour jouer avec.

Mais voilà, grand mère a bien tenu le coup, et le vieil ordi n'a pas survécu à l'installation d'internet, et du coup mes parents lui ont offert un nouveau portable un peu en urgence. Et j'ai hérité de la tâche d'installer et préparer l'ordi, et hier je l'ai livré à grand mère, avec explications, etc...

Et comme je la laisse se débrouiller en surveillant, j'en ai profité pour crocheter !

Flower scarf finished

This is my first crochet along. I couldn't resist this scarf with multiple flowers, perfect for Spring !

Voici mon premier crochet along. Je n'ai pas pu résister à cette écharpe aux multiples fleurs, parfaite pour le printemps. En avril, ne te découvre pas d'un fil, alors en mars....

C'est un CAL de Crochetmania au fait. Je me suis inscrite pour deux autres, des napperons.

After the tiger, the panda

Here is a little cheeky panda to keep company to my little tiger. It took a while to make , because at the moment I crochet a fine doily, and a flower scarf for a CAL. So no pictures of that.

I also experiment making dolls with various media, and as I said before, my method of creation is a bit long. I start something, then stop, sometimes for days at a time, until the next idea comes up. But it's nearly done ;)

Yesterday was my sister in law's birthday, and she loved her little Calimero amigurumi. She used it straight away as a key ring (I had attached the proper key ring thing, of course !)

Voici un petit panda coquin, qui va tenir companie à mon petit tigre. Mes posts s'espacent un peu, car je crochette principalement un napperon fin (crochet 0,75 !!!) et une écharpe pour un CAL...

Et j'expérimente aussi avec divers matériaux pour faire des poupées, et vous savez que mon processus de création peut être lent, vu que je commence, puis je laisse en plan pendant quelques jours, jusqu'à la bonne idée suivante... mais c'est presque fini ;)

Hier c'était l'anniversaire de ma belle soeur, et elle a adoré son Caliméro en crochet. elle l'a tout de suite mis en porte clef (j'avais évidemment mis l'attache et anneau nécessaire). Tu vois NathDMC, j'offre mes amigurumis ;)
