Bottle apron

I found this pattern on Ravelry, and thought it was super cute. I made it quite fast, but then this apron doesn't fit any bottle I have at home. Oh well, never mind...

Can cosy

We are going on a road trip to Britanny soon, and I thought it would be cool to have cosies to carry hot and cold drinks.

I thought it would be helpful to DBF who loves coffee on the go, and tends to burn his hands with the cardboard cups.

So I made cosies with a bottom, in order to be able to use them with any size recipient. The only problem with the pattern used here is that the holes are too big for protection. The next cosy will have a more dense pattern....

Lip Balm cosy

DBF : "But you are making cosies for everything!!!"

Hum, he might be right.... Why make a cosy for the lip balm that I carry in my bag all the time? Will I really hang it to my key ring?

Oh, anyway, isn't it one of the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Little crochet purses

Sometimes we feel like making stuff just because. This is the case for me and pouches. Purses. Anyway, little things to put stuff in.

The first one is very tiny, and has a star motif. I love this motif, I will use it again and again.... In the meantime, the pattern is here for this purse.

The second one is a classic shell motif purse. It's a bit bigger, and ideal to put my tampons in. Pattern here.

Urara bag

This here shows that sometimes we don't realise we do the same thing again and again.... I made this cute mini crochet bag in cotton, not realising that I already made it in acrylic last March ! Same pattern, similar colour....

And I only saw this because I was updating my craft photo album and blogging about things.... It only shows how important it is to keep a record of what we make and when. Plus what hook/needle size was used, what thread, pattern, etc...

Here I also doubled the bag with fabric, because I use it to carry my project around, and I don't want my hooks to fall through the holes ;)

The pattern is here.

Oya necklaces

After knitting, I had a "crochet with beads" phase, so I made these 3 necklaces. I had real fun coming up with the patterns, making test swatches and such....

The first one is in green thread, perlé 12, with a floral mood.

The second one, with dark grey perlé 8, has a more gothic feel to it, while the third in aqua and grey is more like jewellery.

These necklaces are nice and fast to make, if you can crochet with a very tiny hook. The most fastidious is to string all the beads at the beginning.

Knitted mitts

It's been ages.... I haven't been inactive craft wise, but blogging isn't as fun as it used to be.... And now that I have two blogs (same blog, different languages) it's even harder to find the motivation.

Here are gloves I made last month. My mom has lost one of the fingerless/mitts I made for her for Christmas, so as I was in a knitting phase, I decided to try the Urban Necessities pattern for her.

Because she has bigger hands than me, DBF is modelling them.

Then I made myself some lacy fingerless gloves from the "Jane Austen knits" magazine, just because I thought they were cute.
