Everything started with my favourite hoodie going in the washing machine one time too much. It's still ok, to wear, but I doubt it would live much longer.
I felt that as a knitter and crocheter, I should make my own, but I never made a jumper before, and all my projects are small. I fear that a whole jumper would get boring quickly.
But then I came across this pattern. I know it's originally for a little girl, but the pattern itself is very adaptable. Plus it's knitted all in one go, So I wanted to start straight away. Problem is that it was 7am, and I had to wait till the wool shop opens at 10am. But it's summer, so I was home at 11am, without having to fight the market crowd or anything.
It's knitted straight, but on circular needle because of the raglan increase. And because I have to handle the whole front, back and sleeves at once, I'm using 2 circular needles already.
Here is how it looks after 1 day of knitting :

Jam pot cover
Dorénavant le blog est en français sur Over-blog. La version anglaise reste ici.
In the same idea as the Santa socks (I see a pattern on the web and need to make it straight away), here are jam pot covers made with this pattern.
A while ago, my step mother suggested that we make some pot covers, but I don't eat jam, don't make jam, so I didn't see why I would spend time and yarn on this. But this pattern is made in about 30 minutes, so it's worth it ;)
I think I will tie a ribbon around it in time.... The red is the first I made, but it's a bit big, so I try a smaller hook with pink, and yet a small er hook for a second (5, 4 and 3 mm hook repectively)
Enjoy !

Santa socks

I know it's way early to make Christmas stuff, but I came across this pattern and I had to try it ! The pattern is for the big sock, but then I thought it was a bit too big, and I didn't make enough rounds for the ankle part anyway, so I adapted the pattern to make the small one. These are so quick to make and so much fun I think I will make a few of those...

Tawashies a gogo
Dorénavant le blog est en français sur Over-blog. La version anglaise reste ici.
This is quite a productive period. But not for blogging. The thing is that tawashies are so much fun to make, and so fast !!! We are back to the relaxing craft with instant satisfaction : In about one hour or two, you get one of those cute things !!!
Now I have to get the courage to actually use some of those to clean dishes ! I use the first spiral tawashi I made, intensively, but to use the Santa for exemple.... I guess it could be a kitchen decoration or a pan holder.
Anyway, here is the collection :

Summer crochet

I really can't concentrate on blogging, but I have loads to show. We are back from holidays. This time we decided to drive to Normandy and Brittany, driving about 3h max at a time, through the lovely country that is France, avoiding highways.
Lots of fields, cows and wind turbines, but not many people ;) And it was the occasion to crochet in the car. I had chosen to make a slouchy hat with this pattern. In the end it's quite big, and it will be comfy this winter. It was an ideal project as it's repetitive but nice to do.
Before leaving I made a few tawashies, just because I love it. Here they are :
