Big tatted doily finished !!!

Click here to see the doily bigger.

I've been talking about this project I started around the 1st of August. I wanted to tat something big, for a change, and to see if I could do it too !!!

And it was quite a challenge, mostly time wise. That's a lot of rings and chains. And the worst, for me, were the parts where you have to leave space between rings ! So the end piece was a bit wobbly, and so I had to block it. And it worked !

The pattern is from Nancy Tracy of Be Stitched, so click here to visit her website and make your own doily.

Only a few days before the big trip to New York, and reading the TSA website, there's not much we can't carry in the plane. Only knitting needles are prohibited on international planes, but according to them, even stitching is ok? And little scissors ? Hum, strange...
Anyway, I'm growing impatient as you can guess !!!!

-----------------------------------------

Gorgeous doily! You've really gotten good a this.

Don't take any stitchy tools that you would hate to have confiscated. Regardless of the rules, you never know what a particular inspector might decide to ban. Best to take a little blunt scissors, like the kind little kids use.

Have a great trip and enjoy yourself in the big city!
