Well... an hour or so later...I got my courage and mounted this little Country Cottage ornament from last year Just CrossStitch Ornament magazine. this time I just sewed the design on a piece of felt, and backed with another piece of felt, blanket stitch...

It looks really cute. I still have to finish mine - which I just posted on my blog too - and I like the way you did yours. I did look at the image in the gallery, but couldn't see what blue thread you used for the house?

Thanks for the photo. That's a great way to finish something, and I haven't tried it yet.
The ornament is really nice. The hanging bit would make me nervous however, maybe some twisted cord from the same thread you did the blanket stitch with?

Very cute finish. I think it looks great on the felt and will be a fun Christmas decoration to have up.
