Finally finished !!!

I'm still alive... barely. I still have digestive problems, even if I try to live normally. And I am quite tired...

So I sleep a lot, and I don't stitch !!! But I finally finished the needlework shop from Country Cottage Needleworks.

And on Monday I had my new charts, hourray ! I don't know which one to start... I have 3 charts from Little House Needleworks: "coming to America", "Embroidery Guild", and "Hen house". I don't know...

I had to pay 10 euros in customs, seriously, just for that I wouldn't order from there anymore. A shame, because the service was superb. So I can only recommend ABC Therapy ;)

Je suis toujours en vie... à peine. Disons que j'essaye de vivre normalement, mais mon système digestif ne m'aime pas. Donc ca traîne, et en plus je suis hyper fatiguée, et du coup...

La fin de Needlework shop de Country Cottage Needleworks arrive très très lentement du coup, mais... voilà !!!!

Et maintenant, j'hésite quoi commencer dans les charts de LHN que j'ai enfin eus lundi. "Coming to America", "Embroidery Guild" ou "Hen house". Donc je sais pas encore...

Par contre, j'ai du débourser 10 euros de douanes, franchement, c'est pas cool, ca donne à réfléchir à deux fois pour commender chez eux... Ce qui est dommage, car le service était top.

Home sick... in Lille

I'll be brief, as I'm home sick with the intestinal flu. A first for me, and it takes a lot out of me. But i'm better now.

roof and white

Yes, the house has a roof, and I filled the white of the walls !!!

Today I decided to explore and found a LNS in Jumet, not far from home (15min by car?) and of course, on the way home from work (via a little detour out of the motorway).

Of course, the raim was pouring down so much I got mud on my tights, but... I discovered that tiny wonderland called Sechi Raffaela.

In there, 3 persons, 3 generations of women. The grandma and the mom were taking care of the place, and the little girl was doing her math homework in a corner.

Tiny it was, very difficult to circulate, but it looks like i found a place for emergency DMC thread buying. And they also have crochet and tatting threads !
And the place is also covered in fairies and unicorns...

So that's good news for me, and i think it will be even easier to reach them on a sunny day ;)

He oui, la maison a un toit, et les murs blancs...

Aujourd'hui je suis partie à l'aventure, et j'ai découvert Sechi Raffaela à Jumet (15 min en voiture de la maison?), sur le chemin du boulot (après un détour de l'autoroute).

C'est une mercerie minuscule, genre caverne d'Ali Baba, habitée par une multitude de figurines de fées et licornes, et par 3 générations. En effet, la grand mère et la mère s'occupent de la boutique tandis que la petite fille fait ses devoirs dans un coin !

En tout cas, j'ai enfin trouvé un endroit pour acheter mes fils DMC en urgence, ainsi que du coton perlé et autres fils de crochet !

Malheureusement, il pleuvait tellement que j'ai eu de la boue qui a traversé mes bas, je suis sure que ce sera plus simple à trouver au soleil ;)

Yes, after about a week of on/off stitching, the needlework shop starts to look like a real house ;)

I was visiting blogs, when I noticed the Stitcher's showcase link on Milly's blog. It's a bit like facebook, but only for stitchers ! So of course I had to be part of it....

And I'm sure many of you will join us?

Hi all, I hope you are not stuck somewhere in snow... Here we only had a bit this morning, but it didn't stick, so...

This week end I didn't craft much. I got stuck playing 7 wonders on PSP, then Wall-E. And I got the Wall-E movie on dvd, I was waiting for this for so long !!!

I did manage to finish this little girl in crochet though. She's entirely in Perle 8 cotton, and I realise now that she looks like she's flying (her legs are actually the same lenght...)

And of course, she's totally my invention...

salut, j'espère que vous n'êtes pas coincés dans la neige... Ici il y en a eu un peu le matin, mais ca n'a pas tenu.

Ce week end je n'ai pas vraiment brodé, j'ai été prise par 7 wonders et WallE sur PSP. D'ailleurs, j'ai acheté le dvd de WallE, depuis le temps que je l'attendais !!!

Par contre j'ai fini cette petite fille en crochet, totallement en perlé 8. Pas de modèle, et c'est mon expérimentationde cheveux de ce genre.... Au cas où vous vous demanderiez, ses jambes ont la même longueur, mais là elle donne l'impression de voler...

First, here is a bit of a novelty: a tatted egg. An egg? for Easter of course !!!

Yes, I wanted to tat this week end, so... I took my Easter egg book I bought at Alexandra Palace in October.

I had to wet it and pin it into shape.

And here is my stitching project : Needlework shop from Country cottage needleworks. I've been stitching it "on the road", but now it's the main project.

Pour commencer, voici... un oeuf en frivolité, du livre d'oeufs de Paques que j'ai eu à Alexandra palace en Octobre. Cette fois-ci, j'ai mouillé et mis en forme en épinglant sur coussin.

Et ensuite, mon projet broderie, Needlework shop, de Country cottage needleworks. Ca fait un bout de temps que je le brode ici et là en voyage, mais cette fois-ci il passe en projet principal.

Nath, moi en général je brode des projets des mêmes designers, Joan Elliott, LHN, CCN, Lizzie Kate, etc... Pas le temps pour le reste !

pink canary, bravo pour Peppermint lane !!! En effet, on est à nouveau synchrones... Au point que j'ai commandé "Embroidery Guild" à ABC Stich (commande d'il y a une semaine que je suis pas sûre que je l'aurais avant un mois...)

This week end I worked on the little birds and finished the project just yesterday evening !

So this time it's a true week end finish...

So now I will focus on the bunny and on CCN's Needlework shop.

I'm back to full LHN mode. Yesterday I ordered the new "Coming to America" pattern, and 2 others, with threads and fabric. After all, I didn't get any stitchy gifts for Christmas, but my grandmas gave me money for it, so...

Of course, I will keep stitching the bunny. Pink Canary, you are cheeky, yes, stitching the bunny boy would be nice, but it won't be for this year !!! Too difficult !!!!

De plus, hier j'ai commandé des grilles LHN, dont le dernier, "Coming to America". Je n'ai pas eu de cadeaux de broderie, mais par contre j'ai des grand mères qui m'ont donné des étrennes pour !

Je n'abandonnerai pas la lapine de Paques pour autant, mais j'ai le temps... Pink canary, tu es une coquine, je sais bien que faire le lapin ferait une bonne paire, mais ca ne sera pas pour cette année, trop compliqués !

Post weekend pictures

Well, I felt stitchy end of the week and during the week end, so I progressed a bit.

First, the birds, I stitched the boring snow, leaves and a bird. Boring because it's long lines of white.

Then the bunny.... I made the basket, and it wasn't easy, because of the different browns. Plus I forgot some colours at home, so I had to stitch here and there with what I had (ok, most of the colours, but still...)

So now guess what? it's time to stitch....

La fin de la semaine dernière et ce week end j'ai brodé pas mal, et donc voici les photos !

Tout d'abord, on a les oiseaux. Là, j'ai surtout fait la neige, ce qui était fastidieux car c'est des longues lignes.

Et aussi, le lapin... J'ai fait le panier, qui n'était pas évident à cause des différents bruns. Et j'avais oublié des couleurs à la maison, alors... j'ai du m'en passer !

Et maintenant, je retourne à la broderie....

Let the little birds sing...

And I hear you say « she was stitching Easter,, and now it's back to wintery stuff?" Well… the fact is I finally got a hold on this pattern from Little House Needleworks in CrossStitch and Needlework from last year. Taking patterns off magazines saves space, especially when you are moving, but obviously years of magazines give a lot of patterns… And so they got lost in the move. But not too far. But it needed a bit of tender rummaging through stuff to find.

At the same time I took the Easter patterns and found the boy version of the bunny I'm stitching (published in US CrossStitcher the following year as the girl bunny). I still have to find my favourite bunny pattern, but that will be for later.

The bunny pattern is quite complex. The pattern itself is in black and white, with similar symbols, so I had to photocopy and colour a few things, but it's still not that easy with so many colours. So yesterday I really enjoyed stitching something simple like these birds.

Je vous vois venir d'ici: Pourquoi revient-elle à l'hiver, après une incursion de paques ? En fait…. J'ai enfin trouvé ma grille des oiseaux chanteurs de Little House needleworks, paru l'an dernier dans CrossStitch and Needlework.

J'avais assez de courage hier pour parcourir mes grilles, à la recherche de trucs de paques, quand je suis tombée dessus. Détacher les grilles des magazines fait gagner de la place, mais après déménagement, on a du mal à retrouver ce qu'on veut.
J'ai aussi retrouvé le magazine original du bunny, et la version petit garcon qui est parue dans le même magazine un an après.

Comme vous vous en doutez, la petite bunny est très longue à faire. Grille en noir et blanc avec des symboles similaires (j'ai du photocopier et colorier), avec énormément de couleurs dispersées dans tous les coins. Donc je me suis éclatée hier avec les petits oiseaux tous simples !
